This ride is approximately 110 miles to Bradenton with lunch at Linger Lodge. Big Hugs going out to Mella, who LOVES the ambiance of Linger Lodge but is needing your love and warm thoughts as her mom recovers in the hospital.

This Poker Run benefits the Children's Cancer Center and has a long list of fun activities and prizes in addition to the many cool poker run stops along the route. You can even get an extra poker hand by pre-registering online at: www.ChildrensCancerCenter.org .
The day of registration fee is $10 per hand or 3 poker hands for $25. If you register in advance you get an extra poker hand for registering online! First bike out at 10am and last bike in at 3pm. The after party features live music, raffles and presentation of chapter challenge and other awards.
Rain or shine and even cars are welcome for anyone who wants to come out to support the cause.
Poker Run begins at Old Town HD in Brandon, but we will meet at our usual 54/41 Big Lots location at 10am to ride in together for registration. Run ends at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel for the After party. See you there!
P.S. Rumor has it that Elliot is one of the organizers of this event- so we know it will be a good one. Let's get out there to support one of our own Web Riders helping to bring smiles to the children bravely facing cancer.
WEEKEND ROADTRIP
TO DRAGON'S TAIL / DEAL'S GAP!

This trip leaves 54/41 on Thursday, May 28th at 5pm and will make a run up i-75 to stop in Valdosta, GA for the night.
Friday morning, the group will head out at 6am on scenic 441 backroads through beautiful small towns with plenty of stops for gas and potty stops. Lunch is in an extremely special town called Madison, GA. (Looks like the set of a Disney Movie as you cruise under the oak canopies on Main Street!)
After lunch, there is another 162 miles (3.5 hours) of riding to the Iron Horse Lodge where we will be staying that night. Meals are homecooked and reasonably priced. The Lodge is dedicated to motorcycle riders with on property entertainment of movies, pool tables, bon fire pit and much more...
The cabins on site can comfortably sleep 6 per cabin. If oyu have 6 in your cabin, the price is $41 per person. If you put 4 in your cabin it is $62 per night (and no one has to fight over the pull out couch...) There is a bike wash and laundry room on site.
The Lodge sits 30 miles from Dragons Tail. One day trip will be the Cherahola Skyway (Waterfalls!) and one day on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Listed on America's Most Scenic roads!)
There is much more info on this trip that your webmistress ran out of time to list today... (Hey, this whole working girl routine is time consuming...) But Mella sent out an email with details and I will try to get the rest of this info up online as soon as I get actual free time again- probably Sunday...

Jan and Bill have done this serious roadtrip before and are inviting the Web Riders to join them on their 2011 return trip. The weather just HAS to be cooler up that way in July than it is here in Florida! This is advance notice to start saving, the expected cost per couple is $8,000 - $10,000. Includes the price of the Alaska State Ferry trip up and back. Contact Jan & Bill about a Fly & Ride option, so you can fly into Anchorage, rent bikes and join the group for the tour of Alaska without the week of riding to get out there.
START saving NOW- you have about 700 days to save.... so start putting away $15 per day in your piggy bank...The memories of riding to Alaska and back: Priceless!
